Lord Advocate Appoints Senior Prosecutor for Grampian Area

The Lord Advocate, the Right Hon Elish Angiolini QC, today announced the appointment of Anne Currie as Area Procurator Fiscal for Grampian. Ms Currie is an experienced prosecutor with a particular interest in ensuring that services are designed to meet the diverse needs of local communities.

Lord Advocate Establishes Expert Advisory Group on Sexual Crime

An Expert Advisory Group on Sexual Crime, established by the Lord Advocate, Elish Angiolini QC, met for the first time today in the Crown Office in Edinburgh. The permanent expert group brings together prosecutors, Rape Crisis Scotland, and the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland to consider best practice in all aspects of the investigation and prosecution of sexual crime.
