Scottish Ministers have recovered assets worth £60,000 in a case that recently concluded at the Court of Session. The assets consist of funds held in a bank account obtained through the unlawful conduct of Stephen Devine, care of HM Prison, Kilmarnock.

The Lord Advocate has an appeal against the sentence imposed on John Tunnicliffe, who pled guilty at Edinburgh High Court to lewd and libidinous practices and the rape of a girl aged 14.

An experienced prosecutor has been appointed to lead the team responsible for dealing with all potential Sheriff and Jury and High Court cases in Stirling and Alloa. Alistair Duncan takes up post this week, reporting to the District Procurator Fiscal, Bill Craig.
