GRAMPIAN AREA FISCAL WELCOMES INDEPENDENT INSPECTORATE REPORT
The Independent Inspectorate of Prosecution published on 15 May an inspection report on the Procurator Fiscal Offices in the Grampian Area.
Responding to the report, Morag McLaughlin the Area Procurator Fiscal for Grampian said:
"I welcome the Inspector's Report and the constructive comments that it provides. Overall this is a very positive Report for Grampian and I recognise, as the Inspector does, the significant achievements which have been made possible by the commitment and dedication of the staff across the Area. The period covered by the Review has been an extremely challenging one, as the Report narrates and it is to the significant credit of the hard-working staff here that so much has been achieved.
"The Report identifies a number of areas of work where we can strengthen performance and we will act on those. We want the service that we provide to the public in Grampian to be the best that it can be and to play our part in providing a Criminal Justice System in which members of the public can have confidence."
