The Crown Agent and Chief Executive, Catherine Dyer

 

Catherine Dyer

The Crown Agent is the principal legal advisor to the Lord Advocate on Prosecution matters.

She also acts as Chief Executive for the Service. She is assisted by other senior legal, managerial and administrative staff.

 

Peter Collings, Deputy Chief Executive

 

The Deputy Chief Executive is head of the Corporate Services Group which has responsibility for prosecution policy and practice, business development, finance, human resources, estates, communication, IT and for leading on management of change in the organisation. DCE

 

 

David Harvie, Director of Serious Casework Group

   

 

The Director of Serious Casework is responsible for the Serious Casework Group, which prepares cases for the High Court and Court of Appeal and also contains the Serious and Organised Crime Division, the International Co-Operation Unit, the National Sexual Crimes Unit, the Scottish Fatalities Investigation Unit and the Health and Safety Division.

 

   

Janice Irvine, Director of Human Resources

   

Janice Irvine

The Director of Human Resources has responsibility for Personnel, Payroll, Training and Staff Development, Employee Relations, Employee Welfare, Health and Safety, and Security.

   
     

Michelle MacLeod, Head of Policy Division

   

 

Policy Division lead in formulating COPFS prosecution and death investigation policies and liaison with the Scottish and UK Governments on wider policy issues where there is a prosecution or death investigation interest in Scotland.

   
     

Non Executive Directors

   

Non Executive Directors sit on the COPFS Management Board and fulfil a variety of roles as required.
